yes it is 1 meter would be sufficient, but if.

struck the right ships and displayed correctly on the chart where I was deep, they would fire, and then we set the depth of 1 meter but below a torpedo hits the bottom of the ship.

if the modders can find a way to fix this we will. If it's a thing for the devs then we may be in for a long wait.
