Task Forces in 1942?

It was my understanding that convoys with large capital ships ends in late 1941. I have patch 1.4b and nothing else other than a few tool mods. Am I mistaken?

Iv'e encountered the Tf but i didn't get 2BB's I got 1 Nelson, 1 Bogue class carrier and 6 DD's as escorts, outcome 1 BB sunk,1carrier sunk.2DD's sunk.
1 I-boat severly damaged and 7 crew members dead.
