IMO we are well down the path of ruin and decline already. For many reasons, some of which have already been cited. I think the country our children and grandchildren will inherit will be a run down, dilapidated and poor, second world nation. We are well, and truly, farked.

But hey, we can all look up to the corporate executives for keeping the "American dream" alive eh? HA!

edit: Add crap like this, on top of all that. Hell, we won't even own our own properties anymore with stuff like that going on. On the bright side.. maybe we wont have an illegal immigration problem anymore when the mexicans realize the land of milk and honey has dried up, and theres nothing left to be had.

I agree. The United States of America is a setting sun, and that is not a new development. Like Rome, the politicians of all persuasions are her undoing; keeping themselves in power while neglecting their duty. Should she perish, her epitaph would read 'Here Lies America, Died of Polemics.'

Sadly, behind the partisan slogans and big promises, politicians on all sides aren't all that different... the problems are a lot deeper than any election can fix right now.

Normally I agree with Bubblehead1980, but in this case he is wrong in using MOB's words when expressing himself. It shows a lack of imagination and gives the opponents a heads up which is unneccessary.
