A Jacksonville mother charged with shaking her baby to death has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

Alexandra V. Tobias, 22, was arrested after the January death of 3-month-old Dylan Lee Edmondson. She told investigators she became angry because the baby was crying while she was playing a computer game called Farmville on the Facebook social-networking website.

A few crazies spread in a huge populace is sure signs of society as a whole failing, right.

A 22yo mother who mentally was still a child herself and, shook her dolly to death for disturbing her play time. Sad, very sad.

Expect to see more of it as, society becomes more desensitized.

She should be sterilized (since I guess they won't execute her, sadly).

And you know, people still really do not care about her farm.

On a side note, I deleted my facebook account months ago. Don't miss it at all. But now that I know all about it, here's what I'd do differently:
no games (all spyware) utter waste of time anyway.

No personal info.
I wouldn't "friend" everbody I know, only the people I actively communicate with.

That lady needs to be fixed though.

It's been repeatedly suggested to me by the powers that be that I should make a facebook account. So far I have resisted but if I am forced into it I will take your advice. Any other good tips?

The powers that be?? I assume you mean your employer.

Gawd I can imagine that they can track your every move if you post it.

Just avoid personal info and those silly status updates "Im going to the store to buy beer", "I'm going to the bathroom to unload those beers"

The less you put up there the better. Best is not to put it up at all as far as I am concerned.

I only found marginal use for FB. But some folks really like it for some reason. August, I'd be careful: FarmVille will vacuum your brains out even by just looking at it.

I'm living proof...

Turn on all e-mail notification filters! My first day on FB (I found out the hard way) Within a 12 hour period, I had >120 email notifications from FB. I quite literally contacts you for everthing!!! or you could use a spam email account for your FB email.

FB is/was cool though. I found a ton of old friends, but the down side is, you get bombarded with a lot of BS. (i'm not going to make a list).

My Facebook rule of thumb is that if I haven't met you in person, you're not on my friend's list. Used as a simple communication tool Facebook is awesome. Social networking, on the other hand, I'll leave that to young people.

I had to learn the same lesson! I knew I had to do something when I opened up my email only to read one of my nephew's status update which said "I just took a HUGE dump".
