You don't understand. This isn't about putting power back in the hands of the republicans so much as it is taking some power away from the democrats.

It's always a bad thing when one party controls Congress and the White House too...

Yeah that is my dads argument for democracy, its about the removal of power, but imho in reality its just passing the buck to another bunch of people who are no more or less competant and will simply blame all there failings on the previous govenment. Ive wittnessed it non-stop for 30 years and its getting really old.
