What's even stranger is that the pilot Peter Treichler crashed a Vampire on the same date in 2009 at the same airport with the same fault!

I suggest he avoids it next year.

The second most frightening sound in DW. The first is *ping* *ping* *ping ping ping PiNG PINGPINGPINGPINGPINGPING*

Especially if it's coming at you from your own torpedo...

Oh...been there...done that...before DW was even thought of.
Fast Attack, about 1998-9. "Lost the wire on tube one" "Conn, sonar, torpedo in the water bearing 245." "BOOM" 'Mk48 from Providence sunk Providence'

Its even more scary when you use the torpedo ping noise from THFRO like me... maybe that should be in the next LWAMI...

No doubt an act of Providence...

And how are we going to get there this time? Last I knew the regular flights down there were all civvy chartered flights apart from the odd VC10 and Tristar. Maybe finally the government will chip in to save Vulcan XH558 to plant one bomb on the runway...

Our best bet to defeat them will be stop eating their beef - the rapid build up of cows and their associated waste will soon put the country on it's knees.

It had given 63 years of enjoyment, even John Travolta had it - maybe it was sabotaged by scientologists, wouldn't suprise me - just one bad word from the pilot...

Still, if a scientologist wants it back, the cockpit can easily fit Tom Cruise

Isn't that what they said to the winning bidder after they had contracted out aircraft maintainance in a silly attempt at saving money.
