Hi Guys,
Im still having problems with my SH5 install. Ive done lots of experementing and found the trigger of the crash but can find no way to fix it. Can anyone please help me , ill explain the problem. Every time I encounter an enemy ship on the surface and that ship fires its main gun I have a complete system crash to the dreaded blue screen. The game runs fine all the time other than under this circumstance. There doesnt seem to be any problem with machine gun fire or air attacks it only occours when the bigger guns try to fire. What ive tried so far as a solution. I got a brand new Hard drive installed win xp pro fully updated. Ive checked all system drivers and have updated those. Ive updated direct X. I tried updating visual C++ to the 2010 version but the game would not load. so I uninstalled all Vis C++ and only have the version from the SH5 DVD installed. I have allso tried running the game on the lowest quality graphic settings but no change. Ive tried uninstalling all mods and starting a new carear but I still have the same problem. When I first Installed the game the detection tool that came with SH5 gave me Green ticks in all boxes. As I said the game runs fine all the rest of the time but its annoying as if I get caught out on the surface by an escort and it fires its main guns the game crashes straight away. Obviously I can avoid this problem by "being a good sub commander" as you should never get caught in this position. But its anoying to me to know the problem exists. Has anyone else experienced any similar problems ? Is there a mod that may fix this ? I wellcome any comments as im running out of ideas on how to fix this. Below are my system specs , im interested in hearing from anyone that uses a similar system. Or can comfirm they have the radeon HD 5750 video card working with this game.
