I hear the miners are arguing amongst themselves to be the last one out and therefore get the world record for being buried alive the longest.

This morning they were reporting that the miners' shift supervisor/leader will be the last one up, since he considers himself responsible for the rest of the men and will stay until everyone else is safely out.
