Cats will find themselves a new home. My sister's parents in law were about to move from the UK to Australia and had to decide what to do with there animals. The dog had plenty of years left, so he was shipped to Australia, the cat was old and only had a few years left. They decided to put it down, as it would have a hard time adjusting to a new place

Two days before they were to leave, and the day they were going to take the cat to the vet to put it down, it disappeared. They were upset that the cat had run off and they couldn't say their final farewell. So they asked the neighbours to keep an eye out for the cat and flew out to Australia.

Two weeks after arriving they get a call from a neighbour saying the cat has turned up, and he was able to track it to another house nearby. It turns out the cat had been living a double life and was this family's pet! They were a little taken back by their former pets double life, but quite happy to see it find a new (if you can call it that!) home. They dent the cat's vet history and some money to the "new" family.

I've got a cat, a "left over" of my former wife. He sheds hair, can be selfish and always wants attention, but I wouldn't swap him for the world!
