These, I like!

Any possibility of a Long Bin SSG? Possibly the coolest version of the Whiskey, in my humble opinion!

Mike.

Default Projekt 665 / Long Bin

I actually am working on several variants of the W class. the modifications will all be included in the seperate conning files, but I`ll have to try first if the game accepts tubes connected to a conning and not to the basic hull file. otherwise, i`ll do it the usual way. It is worth a try, hower the soviet navy considered the missile-carrying variants a failure due to their very decreased submerged speed (10, max 12 knots).

Combine the Conning Tower files with the hull like I did in the Permit I sent you and you should have a problem with the Long Bin at all.

Yes, but the idea was to use a basic hull and combine it with multiple connings according to the timeframe set for the specific conning just as the game does with the stock submarines. first variants had a 76mm gun on the aft and a 20mm AA gun at the front of the conning tower. i wanted to use this as first available submarine in the mod, than use the version shown on my screenshots and finally move the submarine to the SSG/SSGN fleet as long bin and make the ZULU available for the SSK/SSN fleet.otherwise, i will build it the same way i used for the hotel and golf.

Thinking further, you'd still need a new hull for the Long Bin - IIRC the conversions were lengthened quite a bit to fit in the cruise missile launchers.

A Twin Cylinder would be easier to make.

This link here has quite a bit on info, once it's been run through a translator:
http://www.deepstorm.ru/

There's some nice longitudinal sections on a few of the pages.

THAT`S RIGHT!!! Havent thought of it yet...
So I`ll make a new Sub. Thank´s for the link, will take a look at it. Personally I use a book as reference written by former constructors of soviet submarines, which contains A LOT of detailed background info of the post-wwII soviet/russian submarine force and contains many blueprints and diagrams.

to keltos: since no one has offered to do the campaign data, probably i will
first of all, i will try to convert the US campaign. mostly convoi-hunting.a modernized campaign with more specific missions will be based on what I can do about modern warships and AI submarines.

Supposedly making a campaign is about the same as making a single mission, only a lot more of them.

from what little I know, from talking to Peabody, the layers of shipping are what counts : making sure ships spawn in the correct place at the right time, making layer upon layer of traffic.

then, and only then can you make the missions to here and there, because the underlying reality has been built.

this is unless you plan to use stock layers of course...

regards
