Default What am i doing wrong,help!!!!

Hi sailors, i installed SH V , updated to 1.2 installed jgme to SH V folder.

copied mods to MOD directory. Activated mods ............ and...........nothing happens?

WTF ...what am i doing wrong.
I have original SH V and jgme in c:\ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5

and mods in MODS folder. All mods are activated.

I tried to confirm that mods are not activated with accurate german flags mod, in docks on the wall there are still crosses and no swastikas.

my mods installed

Environment 3.6MOD=1
Shadow Improvement Mod=2
SteelViking&Com Underwater ModV1.0=3
SteelViking's Interior Mod V1.1=4
SteelViking's Interior Mod V1.1 patch V1.1.1=5
Accurate German Flags=6


Can anybody help me? Should i manualy overwrite the data folder in SH V?

So the Mods folder is thus:
c:\ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\Mods
If so that is correct and mods should reside in that folder.
Fire up JSGME and enable the mods on the left side that will now shift to the right, that's it!

No, you SHOULD NOT overwrite any data in game folder manually. JSGME should give perfect effect, if it doesn't, we'll find a solution.

First: in JSGME go to "Tasks", click "Export activated mod list to" and paste here the results. This will let us be sure that you indeed installed these mods properly.

Second: when installing any mods: did you have game open or any mod/game files open? This can lock the files and makes JSGME skip these files when copying.

I read about jsgme and there was written that i can activat mods only when i am in dock, so i will try that. maybe it will help.

Make sure you point jsgme shortcut to open in the SH5 game folder. Read again the jsgme install instruction and how to set it up correctly.

proof that nothing has changed , i think i am a looser, i really dont know what am i doing wrong

i did everything that is written in jsgme manual

I'll ask again, as yo udidn't answer my question - was the game CLOSED when you installed the mods? If it wasn't, it's almost certainly source of the problem, as JSGME doesn't work with files locked by a running application.

Don't panic, you're not a loser, it's just a technical difficulty that sooner or later will be soved with help of community. Stay cool.

Yes, of course the game was closed, i know i cannot activate it when the game is running. Still dont know what is wrong, that it doesnt work.

This is what I do. I unzip my files onto my desktop, open the zip files there, copy the folders into the MODS folder in my SH5 directory. Fire up JSGME and activate the mods. Close JSGME and start game. When you first installed JSGME was it directed to the your SH5 directory?

Thanks everyone who got involved i finally solved the problem.
I use winrar with path on so after unzipping the files i had two same folders like: german accurate flags\german accurate flags\data..etc

after deleting on of the folder i got it running. thanks for cooperation

maybe i am not that stupid :-)

"Double folders" are covered quite extensively in the User Guide. Pages 6 and 7, with pictures.
