Default Here I go!

I'm going to purchase SH V!After a lot of thought I decided why wait when I believe the game has been made playable point, thanks to the modders.Hats off to that group! I know I will encounter some difficulties, but I'm determined to make a go of it.The hard working modders have put a lot of work into SH V,and I feel their work warrants springing for SH V.
I have been looking at the mods and I must say I'm a bit overwelmed.I will try to just use the fix it mods that take care of the nastiest problems with SH V.I'm the type of skipper that uses TMO for game play, and I'm thinking that some of the mods might make game play a little too difficult for me.Steelviking, sober, and dem's mod line ups look good, but I really don't know which ones I really need.Any suggestions would be appreciated.I have a decent Alienware puter that has handled anything I have thrown at it,and I can use Jonese's modding tool well.I'm assuming the 1.2 patch is the latest, and I seen a post on how to get around the DRM update to patch the game.I play Order of War,and the Steam thingy doesn't bother me,except I think it is hinky to force that on someone.I know that has kept some skippers from purchasing SH V,so Ubisoft has lost sales for going that route. Thanks in advance for any help.

Experiment and try the different mods yourself to make the game how you want it.
Personally, I don't like saying one mod is better than another in case I offend the modder that made the said "lesser mod." It's all down to preference.
Such as TDW's and Reaper7's UI mods, some prefer one over the other but they are both absolutely fantastic UI mods that you should try yourself.
I have the attitude that if someone doesn't like a certain mod maybe they could/should try and do it better themselves.
I don't have the time, patience or experience to do it so that's why I see all mods as being vital to the game.
