How about we start a COD4 clan? Been itching to get back to COD4, and pwning noobs

If we do, we'll need a suitable name - over to Dowly.

Well, the problem with COD4 is that it takes what was silly in Counter-Strike and adds a whole lotta quake deathmatch to it. Many don't like games where you can win by learning to jump and shoot at the same time or learn a spot in the map from where you can toss a grenade over 3 story building to an hotspot.

True, but I used to play more clan/tounament matches that did not allow rubbish such as "bunny hopping". Made for more interesting matches.

Dunno what version of COD4 you've been playing, I haven't seen anyone bunnyhopping ever - noone has enough health to allow for that. But there are people who camp and toss grenades everywhere (like me )

CoD4? Not a chance in hell.

No ballistics, tiny maps, pistol headshots at 50 meters, unscoped shots don't go where the weapon points, unrealistic perks nonsense, etc.

I could go on, really, I could, for hours.

I'd suggest the community to give DWX 1.2 a try

http://www.redrodgers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4912

Just need to download part 1 to part 4 and nothing else.

It adds many many playable platform with one or two with custom interfaces. It's really cool especially if Multi player comes to mind. I haven't tested how MP feels like with it though so I'm not aware if there are issues with it and MP session.

Of course there's always the reliable LWAMI

Seems like LWAMI is more reliable and maybe more ested, but I'd be up for DW+X

I haven't put much time into DWX 1.2 but I can tell so far it seems to be clear of bugs and I haven't noticed anything which I would consider a bug or a glitch.

That Type 214 or Type 212 or that Collins class or driving that British Trafalgar or the exotic Victor II or Victor III or Lada or hunting a player Delta IV SSBN or a player Typhoon...umm the possibilities are endless . I do not know how stable it is for multi player but I think it's worth a try considering the effort and quality that has gone into making this mod.

No more silly passive AI either, be prepare to get counterattack when you launch a missile or torpedoes.

Vietcong would also be a good option imo, but I bet most people don't own that. Never was the most popular game.

And Men of War; would make for a nice tournament, or just to get some games going.

Had a tank only battle on MoW the other night, the tank that did the best out of all of the tanks I spawned (right up to the Tiger II) was a little Panzer IV which sat by a tree and banged away at anything that came near it.
I lost, but it was quite nice to watch.

Aaargh, will someone just pick a game! If anyone else owns it that's great. (I'm only just picking up gaming again - haven't really played since Rainbow Six so I'm in no postition to suggest anything)

Whoever next wants to pick a name (Oi, Dowly/Arclight) how about Subsimmers and Multiplayers, or as I prefer S&M
