I just got DW and was wondering if I could get a list of all good mods and what they do.

Here is the link to the LWAMI realism mod. Our change log is 30 pages long so don't expect me to write it all here... |

First, I don't know what 3.1 is (unless you are refering to 3.10)? From what I had read, you need 3.08 for 3.09 to install properly, but that may have been an old post from 2008 somewhere. You may not need 3.08, but I installed it anyway. I installed LwAmi 3.08 first. Then I installed 3.09. Both are automatic installs as they are EXE files. LwAmi 3.10 was a bit tricky as it had individual folders & files rather than an EXE. By following the instructions packed in the 3.10, you will actually overwrite the mods folder from 3.09 when you unpack 3.10, that's ok. Then follow the instructions about copying the two files, then running the two BAT files, then deleting all but the four files mentioned in the instructions.

Good afternoon.
I don't want to steal this thread, but I figured this would be the best place for my question, so if I'm overriding the original poster's question, just kick me out and I'll create a new post. I had read somewhere (I can't find it now) that you can install RA and LwAmi at the same time, ... is this correct, will RA run with LwAmi ? If so, can anyone elaborate on what other mods will coincide peacefully together ? I like LwAmi, but there are some little things that are just off a bit [like the waves off the bow, they just look blocky]. I don't know if RA will fix this, but I've read some other things about RA that I would like to see as well. Thanks.

JSGME allows some mixing of compliant mods, and allows switching back and forth between those which are not.

I guess what I'm asking for is a list from what others have done or are using. There are enough downloads (I've spent the last two months downloading mods for DW and SH3) to take a really, really long time to go through and figure out what works and what doesn't. Why recreate the wheel (again) when so many others have already done this. I understand each person has their own tastes, but regardless of taste, by people posting what they have working, we newbies will not just see the mods that are available, we will see what is working together and what is not. As I mentioned, I have been downloading mods for the last two months and have just discovered today that I can use RA with LwAmi. Thanks.
