If your not using 7Zip [ http://www.7-zip.org/ ] you might want to download this handy tool for opening the file. Then follow the the read me directions that are listed below.
Also you might want to create a temp file... for say in your My Documents to open these S-Boat files in. Then add them using the Read Me directions that are located in the S-Boat zip files. Schnellboot mod lite version - October 14 2008 The mod will work with GWX 2.1 ONLY It is strongly recommended to install the GWX 2.1 bugfix and community units as well. Install (see screenshot) : -unzip the 3 folders in your SH3 "MODS" folder -using JSGME, enable "SB01 Schnellboot mod lite", click "yes" when warned by JSGME. -if you want a darker in game menu, enable "SB02 Dark Menu", click "yes" when warned by JSGME. -if you want the alternate s-boot skin, enable "SB03 Walter Knapp skin", click "yes" when warned by JSGME. I also recommend OLCE2, first it's beautiful, and second and more important, it will improve your capability to get close to enemy ships at night. However the custom crew skins might look strange depending on the time of the day. Do NOT install either "GWX - Enhanced Damage Effects" or "OLCE2 Adjusted GWX 2.1 Enhanced Damage Effects", it will seriously mess up the s-boot behaviour when damaged. One more item... here is a posting that could also help get you started out. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...130088&page=12 Albrecht Von Hesse Ace of the Deep ![]() Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Baltimore, MD (usually running patrols at my pc) Posts: 1,111 Downloads: 0 Uploads: 0 ![]() ![]() ![]() Quote: Originally Posted by Mikhayl Quote: Originally Posted by Gewehr98 Heh, well that gives me ten minutes to figure out how to do a second install of SHIII...never had multiple copies on the same system, how do I go about making a new install?? When you're done, you need to place multish3 http://files.filefront.com/MultiSH3z.../fileinfo.html in the new sh3 folder, run it and choose a "savegame" folder. Then you're ready to go ![]() Ummm, once you have a secondary clean install of SHIII, you'll also have to run the GWX install on it, too. Otherwise, if you already have GWX, just roll back SH3Commander (if you use that) then uninstall every mod you've added. That will revert your GWX/SHIII files to 'clean'. Then just create a second folder (for instance, I have /Ubisoft/GWX and /Ubisoft/GWX MP) and copy all the files in the original GWX folder to the new folder. That will give you two folders, one you can use for your usual GWX play and a secondary just for MP games. Don't forget, if you want to play with the S-boots you'll then have to add the two necessary mods to the multiplayer GWX installation.
