Absolutely correct, and I'm still learning from my four-year-old.

Wow, thanks Nisgeis. You are one of the people that actually saved SH5 for me in the first place. I was about to shelve it, but then you came out with your U-Boat Killer mod. My first real DCing(actually got damaged) in SH5 happened right after installing your mod, and it made me change my mind. It also helped me realize that there was potential in SH5 to become great. Needless to say, having you praise my work means a lot.

So, thank you, in more ways than one.

I had already uninstalled SH5 and shelved it.
I then read about TDW's IRAI mod and I now constantly play SH5 with TDW's, mods and slot of others installed and I can't believe how much this game has improved.
I will not be uninstalling SH5 in the future.
I can remember posting about how much of a dissappoinment SH5 was when released and refusing to admit this game could be saved by the modders, apologies to all who I offended because the modders are saving this game and I am now eating humble pie with egg on my face.

And it seems like TDW is just getting warmed up, he's chewing on this game like a mad wolf. Others have seemed to join the pack as well.

Thats enough cliches for one post.

LOL Ok boys! I must admit, I too have been playing the hell out of this.. Of course with some mods installs (OK OK THANK YOU MODDERS)

That said, maybe someone can help me..

I am on my third mission, I went into the port by Scapa Flow, and there was a bunch of ships, some Destroyers and capital ships, I torped some, but none of them more at all.. I even surface and they still don't move at all (They do shoot at me)

Is this normal? Am I to assume they're all anchored and don't bother chasing me?

Thanks

Yes, anchored ships will not pursue you.

if you create a mission with the mission editor you can choose an "anchored" option.
try it sometime, make a real simple mission using the editor with 2 two ships, one at anchor and one just a speed of zero. the not at anchor will speed off as soon as it detects you.

That seems fair, since you just dont turn the keys and sail off in ships of that size
