Default Two problems, need advice

Running clean install of SH3, with GWX3.0 and commander, I'm happy that all instructions have been fully followed on installation, etc.

I have begin patrol at sea selected in commander , but am beginning in the dock. Whats the problem?

I have dual 9800M Nvidia cards (about 1.5 GB of GPU) running with lasted approved drivers on Vista OS and I am getting white pixels on horizon and waves, is there a fix for this?

Great game, these are just little annoyances.

Have you installed the GWX3.0CFG for SH3 Commander file?

jimbuna, thanks for getting back.

yes I used the config installer.

Loaded game components as follows: SH3 vanilla (fully patched), GWX3.0, Commander, commander config installer, then radio message lite mod through JGSE. THis is on a machine where I have completed a OS reinstall in the last couple of weeks, so should have no registry problems (yet).

Other commander featurers like parol logs work.

I have the white pixels/particle on horizon issue in vanilla SH3 also

It sounds like a graphics related problem,

What's the difference between the GWX3.0 CFG, and the GWX2.1 CFG? Just because I never knew there was a GWX3.0 CFG, so I've always just used the 2.1 version.

I believe there's mention made in the GWX manual about particles in the game for Nvidia users.

Edit: Gawd, how I hate this gay looking Navy Dude avatar. A few more posts and he'll be gone, I hope.

Well yea, but I meant what were the differences between the two config files, as I've just been using the 2.1 config files with SH3Commander and GWX3.0, and it seemed to be working fine. Just didn't want to fiddle with it unless there were some needed/good changes in it.

Surely only one version called GWX2.1?

Yes, I'm using ant-aliasing, probably set at 4x or 8x, why would this cause a problem?

Can someone tell me if the GWX manual solution for particles is applicable to 9800M NVIDIA cards?

there was only one question, which you now the answer,I know that some have had problems with AA when it has been on,and before I knew what graphics card you use so I had been able to suggest that you leave the AA program-controlled.

Go to your Nvidia settings/control panel and choose the performance and quality section.
