One of the funniest things to do with a Rubic's Cube is to carefully, with a razor blade switch two colours.
Then you can give it to some smart/smug Rubic's Cube expert and watch them go nuts. I have one sitting on my shelf in my office. Every once in a while I get a bite.... just takes patience. Works better with the new guys. But the payoff is well worth it.
