The fictional president seemed to be leaving the moment the attack on the sub happened.

What do you think on my theory that the fictional president went nuts? The Iran photo that was ignored... The authority to the group. The leaker who decided it was time to go far before the attack on the sub.

It would seem more to me that the mood of the film was the president was getting on the plane to avoid the fate of the rest of the country.
