Well the odd thing is that, I was unaware of the existance of the toggle icons bar/button until now, so I know I've never pressed any of those six icons. Yet at the same time, the item notes have persisted in their on-again off-again behavior.

I'm unaware of what line in the options file is being changed, or even how (as I've not made any conscious changes to even your UIs config files)

if you can note which items are exhibiting this on-again/off-again behavior it will help me determine if I have a bug in my code or there is something that I have overlooked

The options file can be found here:
\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\NewUIs_TDC_3_9_3_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Scrip ts\Menu\TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py.

It can be opened and edited using Notepad.

Well the depth/map tools certainly don't have a problem.

I'm unsure what the show lock/break lock button does, I'll fiddle with it and see if I notice anything. (It was disabled when I expanded the menu)

We've determined that at least in my situation the item notes are attributing a cruel intelligence.

Hide XO TDC I'm also unfamiliar with at this moment, however it was enabled. I'm assuming this is enabled by default because your TDC work (or perhaps one of the other mods I'm running) replace the default TDC.

Show player guidance and objectives both were disabled as well, and I haven't seen them pop back up since installing one of the previous versions of your UI I believe, so those seem to be working as intended.

show lock/break lock enables/disables the showing of that text in your scope view when you have a target in your sights

Hide XO TDC does exactly what it says - hides the XO TDC Dialog box from view when in a scope view

Gotcha.. in that case those too seem to be consistent in their behavior.. that is to say they behave as they should that I've noticed.
