Maybe a pie like this explains why American's are universally believed to have a problem with their waistlines....(ducks for cover!)

Yeah, see, one of things I like most about pie is the crust, and it seems like you'd totally lose the beauty of a good pastry crust by baking it inside a big pile of cake batter.

Let them eat cake-pie. Or pie-cake. Or whatever. I prefer cake that conceals a scantily-clad female performer inside.

If you want a real surprise, go try a British cake or pie. The British have a long tradition of making foods sound much more appetizing, nay, fit for human consumption than they actually are, and desserts are no exception. The British, famous for twisting the English language, originally developed the practice as a way to continue fighting the Germans when British positions were overrun:
