Sun will be at it's max strength for the first time since 2001
Does this mean anything or is it just one of those things ...

I need to put the cover on my computer before morning.
In the early part of last decade computers were dropping like flies due to EM interference from the numerous flares. |

Save the earth by wearing photonic cells while going out! recharge your cellphone while at the same time making an egg just by wearing them and save the planet ! Feel look and look a little bit weird but who cares as long as you feel good!
This phenomenon is a real business opportunity ![]()

![]() You, sir, are a true genius. ![]() ![]() It's not unusual for there to be CME's and increased sunspot activity. It might hurt some electronic devices here and there, and maybe even interrupt radio broadcasts from time to time. It's when the Sun begins to increase in size that we will need to think about picking up roots and moving to another part of the galaxy, but that may not happen for another billion years or so. |

Never had a problem with that, but now that you mention it, this would be a good excuse to build a faraday cage around my computer, just because I can.

Here is a page with lots of info.
Its radio propagation related but tracks the suns activitys in a lot of ways. Based on fact not hyperbole ![]() Anyhow its worth a browse even if your not interested in HF radio. http://prop.hfradio.org/

We're still barely out of the minimum, and the predictions for the next solar max shot it to be weak. In addition to the 11 year sunspot cycle, field strengths are also down across cycles (normally they'd go up and down with the cycle, but they have been trending down regardless of sunspot behavior).
He's a bunch of cool solar data and images in one place: http://www.solarcycle24.com/ tater |

Nice site there Steamwake
![]() I wonder if we'll see anything this far south...it would be nice...but it would have to be pretty heavy for that to happen. It did happen once, a good few years back, but sadly I never saw it. ![]() |

Keep an eye on the sky next week too. The moon will be a Perigee (its closest point in its orbit to Earth) and will be full on Tuesday night.
