Why won't crew auto-fire?

Ok,

So we are saying that CIWS works but use a linear trajectory, something that we cannot do with the 76mm?

The 76mm should be able to destroy air target (yes, aknowledge that this should be with a low Probability of Kill but still...).

If it is the case (not working) can we confirm that nobody else was able to come with a fix for this (part of another mode).

Against a sub firing missiles at me I need all my weapon to defend myself.

It would be good as well to be able to use the main Gun in surface this time using only the search radar to aim (Track While Scan).
