M, what the heck, took the quiz again - seems I've drifted south since I've last done it. Still not unexpected

Everybody's so busy wanting to be down with the gang. "I'm conservative", "I'm liberal", "I'm conservative". Bull sh*t! Be a person! Listen! Let it swirl around your head. Then form your opinion. No normal, decent person is one thing, okay? I've got some sh*t I'm conservative about, I've got some sh*t I'm liberal about. Crime, I'm conservative. Prostitution, I'm liberal! -- Chris Rock

What does it tells you about someone when he does not have the common sense of a comedian? If I'm made to choose sides, I'll say I'm a communist just to irk people.

What is left and right? I consider myself ABOVE

results the same as before more or less: Mahatma Gandhi would love me

I consider myself above since I've come to know what's possible, the world is certainly not enough for me LoL, the catch is I don't feel worthy of everything either but that could probably the biggest miracle of all. Cheers to the very best of life, the God damn most ambitious goal a man could ever hope to get LOL. Slim chance but I'm insane so . . .

A little too general, it is. Would be interesting to take a bigger shot with more questions and a bit more in-depth.

Oh snap!

heh I'm

Economic Left/Right: -6.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.18

According to that chart I am Nelson Mandela

I think I got so far in the left direction as I don't trust corporate entities to manage themselves for the benefit of the society they are in, I am pro choice, and pro equal rights. Plus I care about the environment.

But I don't trust the government a whole lot either and think they need to be closely monitored too (especially when government and big business get in bed together), and don't like the government telling me how to live my life too much (though some governance and law is necessary for the good of society).

Many of the questions are very poorly worded, IMO.

For example:

A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system.

How did you answer this? I think that it IS an advantage of such a system in terms of control of "progress," but agreeing strongly probably ranks you as supporting such an un-democratic system. There are others where a factual answer (I strongly agree that the sky is blue) can get you screwed up. I strongly disagreed with this question for that reason, even though I think that it IS factually true.

WTF does: Some people are naturally unlucky. mean? I strongly disagreed, but do they really mean that some people are born into "unlucky" conditions (poverty, war, etc)? <shrug>

Or: Those with the ability to pay should have the right to higher standards of medical care.

The RIGHT to higher standards? So I think that people with the ability to pay DO have higher standards of care, but it's not a right either way. There is no right to healthcare. So how do I answer? I can strongly disagree, because I don't think healthcare is a right for anyone, or I can strongly agree because I think that you get what you pay for—and should.

Closer to Nelson Mandela than The Dali Lama

I tried a few times to take the test answering like Hitler (based on what we know, and what he did), and I always get upper left (X=-4.75, Y=7.44 last try)—near where they claim Stalin is. When this test first came out, I swear Hitler and Stalin were VERY close to each other, then the image changed and Hitler is farther right on the X axis.

I think they should publish the set of answers used to rank each real person so we can see how they got there. I don't buy the position many of the people placed on there for comparison.

I think this test has more entertainment value than a representation of your factual political leaning. Like it was brought up, wtf does "Some people are unlucky" mean? That's a personal opinion that has no bearing on you political compass at all.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if Hitler was moved to the right for people to make it easier to brand Bush as a nazi.
