I actually stood on top on the original sub when I was a teenager. It used to be on campus at J.F.K. High School in Paterson, NJ. Had my picture taken on it, though I don't know what happened to it over the years. Now, I think it's housed in some old museum in the downtown section. It's a pretty small sub. Smaller than a standard transit bus but, about the same girth, if my memory serves me right.

Did you let it run for like a day ? I looked away from the animation for 15 minutes and am only at 8000 right now

I managed to get neutral boyancy about 5 - 10 feet off the sea floor. Once i saw it was perfect, i left it alone until i got bored and surfaced it. Nevermind I was at work at the time, and let it run in the background while i did my job. lol

Dunno how, but i sunk the sub to about 900 feet....it just fell off the screen...
