The was also Kormoran.That fought the HMAS Sydney. Resulting in both being sunk.
Merchant raiders is an interesting idea. They would do well against unescorted merchant ships? But what if you ran in to an enemy task force or the escorts from a convoy? I think it would be pretty much game over at that point. |
