You mean to tell us that you are unable to open up a wikipedia page on crocodiles and a page on alligators and read it; or use the Googles and type "difference between crocodile and alligator"?

Dude, use the Internets Tubes. They are there for you. There are some questions in life where it is better that you find out the answer on your own.

It's not as cold anymore as it used to be in the past. Many different species, especially insects and maritime organisms, are advancing north in Europe, following the growing temperatures all over. Tropical diseases are spreading from the south/equator to the North, too.

But ignore that. Global Warming has been proven to be an alarmist myth.

Tell that to the German crocodiles when it starts snowing this winter...

Well, Skybird is right in claiming that a lot of life forms that were formerly only found in southern regions have advanced northwards. They wouldn't come here if it was getting colder.

Except we're not talking about Italian squirrels or some such we're talking about crocodiles. I'm pretty sure even if global warming is caused by humans it still hasn't turned Germany into year round croc habitat, at least not yet.

True, but no one stated that, did one?

Schon wieder einer...!

http://www.welt.de/vermischtes/kurio...Frankfurt.html

65 year old, 3m long; 170 kg heavy alligator escaped from a show camping in Frankfurt, and moved down the streets in the outskirts of Frankfurt, calmly, peacefully. The animal was caught alive, and brought back, calmy, and peacefully.

BTW, room temperature over here 31°C, this day's outside maximum in this town, in the shadows, 39°C. Stecht mich an, ich bin gar.

I guess it was a misunderstanding then. I thought your reply was supposed to mean that there is no global warming.

It's those kinds of misunderstandings that gets countries like Poland overrun!

So to recap:
The premise of this thread is that crocodiles are infesting German waterways. I just innocently comment that crocodiles would not survive a German winter. Skybird treats us to a lecture on global warming. I respond that regardless of all that it still isn't warm enough to support crocodiles and suddenly i'm a human cause global warming denier?
