Wav files, to play properly in DW, must have the following characteristics:
Bit Rate: 352kbps Audio Sample Size: 16 bit Channels: 2 (stereo) Audio Sample Rate: 11 kHz Audio format: PCM I don't know what software you are using to record sounds, but there should be an option to set the above values. For example, with Microsoft's Sound Recorder, doing a 'Save As' includes an option to change the format.
