It really depends on how many mods you want to use. SH5 out of the box was a little disappointing for me personally. However, after installing a few mods from the workshop I've got to admit I'm having easily as much fun with SH5 as I did with SH3+GWX, perhaps even more.

It does have it's little silly bugs, but then most games do. And most bugs have been fixed in the patches or by the modders anyway.

From what I hear SHV is relatively cheap now anyway, so why not!!

A bit late in the day with a post like this matey

if you've got SH3 and IV you may as well give V a try, it's getting better bit by bit as new mods are released.

True enough. I've enjoyed playing SH5, despite its flaws. The mods have only made it better as time has gone on, and there is fun to be had with the game.

Should i get SH5?
Yes.

But not right now. Wait tell.....

- DRM goes away
- price drops
- the 1.5 to 2 years worth of modding to fix the game has transpired.

In other words, wait tell hit its the bargain bin. I spent 55 bucks on this game, and i've barely got two weeks of play out of it before i shelved it out of boredom and disgust.

My 2 cents.

Bargain bin? You mean like under $10. It's only $20 bucks now. I think that is the lowest it will be for awhile. Me, I'm still waiting on DRM to be removed.
