Got my broadband back and a surprise

I pay £23.99 for a 1mb service (no download limmit) but this is listed as 2.2mb in my system tray+diagnostic tool (I'm not going to ask questions lol). I assume the upload speed is either 256 or 512k.. not entirely sure which.
- comes with 12 email aliases, ftp space, 10gb newsgroup access thingy and a useful pipex information service teling you about connectivity issues, line maintenance etc.
I've been with Pipex for over 12 months now and other than the fact that it takes about 7-10 days to get a reply to email for tech support (I must stress this was about a line extension cable question- so not really urgent) I have been very happy with the service I've received from them.
They're not the cheapest around, but as me old grandad used to say: "buy cheap, buy twice" as a m8 of mine is having to do now having switched from BT to Demon, who are now dicking him about with a dysmal connection speed for BB. Loads of bad press there clicky
