This is not true...there is in fact ten minutes in June when it does not, most sunbathing in the UK is done during this time.

I wish this were true, it's not rained properly here for quite some weeks and I'm getting a bit miffed at having to drag my hose (fnarr) around the gardens watering my roses every evening! It's so bad the Lake District (the one place in the UK with lots and lots of water) is on about having a hosepipe ban

Napoleon, the man who made the famous brandy, said "L'Angleterre est une nation de boutiquiers" (England is a nation of shopkeepers) was wrong. We are in fact a nation of:

a. Honest (and cheap) politicians
b. Honest (and cheap) bankers
c. Honest (and cheap) judiciary
d. Honest (and cheap) welfare benefit 'users'

And we're excellent at sports...
