Mission choice? and two more Q inside..

I decided to go on 'British supplies' mission.
I sailed pass Dover down towards 'Keltische See'.

Three questions please:

1. Is there definite mission choice? I didn't see any. On SH3 it used to force you to reach to the particular mission spot and stay there for at least 24 hours. How does it done on SH5?
2. On the (long) way to the mission's area, I encountered several merchants and sunk them. Is there any reason not to 'waste ' my torpedoes on such merchants and save them for the merchants on my mission area (Do I get any extra points for the merchants caught on my mission area?)
3. Can I get ammunition & fuel anywhere else beside going all the way back to my Kial base? (milk cow ships?) How? Where?

1: i am not sure what your asking be a little clearer as in what do you me by specific mission choice

2: if your objective (yellow thing) is to patrol, it means to search the area either for a certain amountof time or sink a ship. by completing the yellow objectives, you get more renown to upgrade your boat. your ULTIMATE mission is to complete the iron cross things and get their points and fill up the bar at top left by completeing the task. however you must do it within the specified area, or any ship you sink wont count towards the goal.

3: no. you must go back to any friendly port or dock at home base. you can ask your radioman to request resupply, but they always turn you down.

1) There should be a "sinking ship" icon in a yellow/tan box with an arrow pointing down. that is you "patrol area".

2) If your headed to the SW of england supply routes I wouldnt waste my torps.

3) Nope... no resupply avail until you get to latter missions (Op drumbeat..).
