Am I the only one with a personal bash thread? Strangely enough, I feel kind of honored

The first one was generic and could easily be replaced with any group you wanted to make fun of.

The second one had a lot of statements that were flat-out lame.

Well, it's just a joke. I'm not offended or anything. Pretty much any philosophy can be made to look stupid if you cut it up into small enough pieces, distort it, and smother it in hyperbole.

I take some solace in the fact that you could do the same kind of comic strip with people who trust the government and use the actual results of the programs designed to support their various agendas as punchlines

You could also take solace in the fact that Democrats always try to mock what they fear.

And clueless as to what the real world involves. Which is why they rarely win elections.

Really? I was under the impression that the reason people become libertarians is that they know perfectly well what the world involves and they don't like what they see. In any case, "what the real world involves" is a pretty broad category. Are we talking about politically, or economically, or socially? All three? The birds and the bees? Why the sky is blue? Can anyone please explain to me what it is we are missing?

It is indeed just a joke. You're just the first libertarian I think of when I see stuff like this. That being said, I have indeed come across "The Missionary", the "Apostle" the "Denial-ican" and "The Island" quite a bit.

I'm not a Democrat and I don't fear Libertarianism. But I do take solace in the fact that the righties will always make blanket generalizations.

Besides, it would make no sense for a Dem to fear a Libertarian. They're going to siphon more votes away from the GOP if they because a more powerful political force and possible third party in this country. But please, don't allow facts to get in the way of making snippy comments.
