Sh5!

I just bought SH5. it looks sweet. ill add on to this as i install

edit: well, this game is beyond wierd. number one they dont let the resolution go below 1000 by 740 or w/e which makes it LAG BALLS. second the controls are just really stupid. third is that your boat doesnt carry an exra stern torpedo.fourth is that you basically cant turn unless you set a waypoint cause it only allows you to put rudder at 5 degrees to either side fifth is its got MAJOR teething problems from sh4, cause you basically cant command the sub from you control panel. this game is looking bad, but i assume will get better later on. but even when you have no manual targeting mode on, you still have to aim in front of a ship or along the path you think its gonna take, whichmay not be that bad but takes getting used to after the simplicty of SH4 without manual targeting when it was point click boom. and i dont know how to get my dam crew to man the deck guns either. i cant find the officer who does that. and lastly, i dont think the ships bleed to death, i waited five minutes after hitting a freighter with 3 torps and her health bar (yes theres health bars now) didnt go down any.

another thing: what does the blue bar under the health bar indicate?

My prediction is he'll be utterly floored by the graphics, but the longer he plays, the more the games flaws will shine through and eventually he'll go back to SH3 or SH4.

I'm wondering why he would start a thread in the SH4 forum. anyone interested in SH5 reads those forums, and anyone not interested is...well, not interested.

Maybe he started a thread here ´cause he knows that SH5 is nothing more than an SH4-WIP-Mod of Uboat-Missions...a graphical update....a nice try

no i started it so that people would get an opinion from someone who played SH4 maaaaaaaaaaaaaaany hours and is telling people what to expect. so that sh4 can think about what theyre buying. its has MAJOR teething problems though.

Default he is schooling us

This self avowed 15 percent realism player has decided to share this and every other thought he has about SH4 and SH5 with us, whether we are interested or not. His posts reflect that he is keenly interested in the game, and in ecstasy when he sinks targets and survives. But they also indicate that he cannot control his emotions, as demonstrated by the fact that we are provided with a stream of posts detailing everything he has accomplished, learned, etc. It is too much, and the word "gone overboard" comes to mind.

Frankly, I do not think he has the credentials to go on and on, recounting his experiences and teaching us, and his posts reflect a lack of decorum or respect for the players who have been here longer and play at full realism. He may be unaware of the level of accomplishment of many of the forum regulars, and does not appear interested. He will not go away, and I do not think he can reform. He does not have a clue how to "fit in."

I gently suggested that he would be happier in SH5. Actually, it was me who would be happier, but I am sure that is lost on him.

The "solution" for me is to Ignore, which I will do now.
