I don't remember touching the 40 Mike mike when working on version 2.0. If it ain't broke, i don't fix.

More likely then not, someones using AA burst rounds instead of HE rounds on surface targets. It's not immediately obvious which rounds your using unless you click them a couple times, but as i recall, it defaults to AA burst rounds. (which i gave a 12 meter area effect splash damage, they just don't do as much damage as HE rounds)

The HE rounds for 40 MM bofors work well on small surface ships, I shot up two 1000 ton tugs off Hokkaido last patrol, fun stuff. They are realistic. The AA bursts, just wish I could see the flak puffs in the sky, can only hear them.I agree though, someone may be using the AA shells instead of HE rounds and getting steamed because it doesnt take out surface targets well.

Just wish could get the AA gun crews to fire on surface targets so as captain you dont have t man them.ah well.

The 40 Mike Mike is like a giant shotgun

I love it. You need a giant shotgun to take down the birds around this pond.

There's a bug i couldn't figure out where if you man the guns yourself, you won't see the flak burst. If you let your AA gun crew do the aerial shooting, you *should* see them. I purposely tuned them so they detonate in visual range so they could be seen.

I've never seem them but its ok, just glad you made the 40 MM into a decent weapon against surface and air targets. In stock the 40 MM was rather weak.

Wadya mean "someone" ?!

The idiot that's been loading the big shotgun with self-disintegrating fruit salad instead of good old hard-boiled eggs/HE is moi.

My crew and I embark on our next pretend dance with death humbled but more deadly.

Off topic: just read "Unbroken: the story of a submarine". Best you read it for yourself rather than anything I could say.
