Judging from some of the replies in this thread I may have already hooked a couple of big ones!

I've already posted a solution on multiple threads...seems nobody is reading.

We are reading, but harbour structures to me means the 3D harbour objects, not the icons on the Nav map. Are they one in the same?

Yes, that's what I meant also. But it also applies to any disappearing item (may it be 3d item or 2d icon).

The process (SH5) just runs out of virtual memory after prolonged playing time, so enabling the 3GB switch will allow processes to use more than 2GB virtual memory (which is the limit for win32 systems).

The problem is that this isn't intermittent. The port icons have just vanished completely. The ports are still there on the map, the structures are there in the 3D world, it's just the icons that have vanished. And it's not a question of virtual memory as it happens after a fresh re-boot of the pc with nothing else but critical systems running (and 3 gb of ram on board).

It may be a MOD issue, because those icons are taken from a .mis file which a mod might have modified.
