I remember as a kid that X-COM UFO Defense was scary and creepy, used to watch my brother's friend play it. Tried it myself without really knowing what I was doing, the UFO's themselves were scary and creepy too.

Now perhaps 15+ years later, got it via Steam. It's still creepy!

What lurks in the shadows of a UFO crash site?

Gaming under the influence.

Funny on part 2 "Armour? We don't have any? No. No armour. No armour for my guys, they're going into battle in t-shirts and shorts. As <drunken slur> it's a special forces team"

Thanks for the link Dowly!

Byzantine heavy cavalry scatter Turkish archers during their first attempt to break the siege of the Turkish city of Ancyra. The Turkish fought with a fervor which surprised the Byzantine general, and resulted in the deaths of six of their generals to none of ours. Eventually the Turkish ran out of men, and Ancyra fell.

TF thats one of my favorite lines from the game too. I was in stitches when I first heard it on my Renegade playthrough. I was one very pissed off guy.

I think the same, both in ME1 and ME2. You should probably play hardcore or insanity. I remember finishing most of ME1 once with Kaidan and Liara only, and I was an adept. That meant pistols most of the time (+ my shotgun that is )

Renegade Shepherd is so much more fun than his/her Paragon twin

Individually, yes, in groups they can get around and poke you pretty hard. If it's turning into an arcade FPS you might want to try moving up to a higher difficulty as aergistal suggested.
