Lurker has my admiration. He's done an incredible job, and taken on more large projects then i ever had the patience for. People really should check out his work. The problem is alot of people have horse blinders on. They only want to see uboats, and not really give anything else a try. So, SH4 just doesn't even make it on the radar for many.

Surely i might just not give up on sh-5 . But for now the bad just outweighs the good. Maybe some complete package in a supermod will clear things up. But for now i will just watch on the sideline to see where sh-5 go,s

I don't remember which game it was, but I had so much trouble just getting the dang thing to run long enough to enjoy the gameplay that I finally gave up on it. Pretty frustrating when that happens. It was patched later on and ran just fine thereafter. Hopefully that happens for SH5.

Unfortunately Oscar19681 is right! SH5 was released as alpha-beta version which means it is much more buggy and unfinished than SH3 and SH4 were in time of their release. In return this means I am not sure SH5 can be acceptably fixed by modders alone. If UBI Soft really abandons SH5 its future is rather dark, I think.
SH5 developer should make available one-two patches bug-fixing vanilla game to a point it will be playable with most annoying hard-coded shortcomings removed and basic features fully functional. Only such SH5 version could become a basis for creation of large super-mods.

The big question for me is? Is SH5s Dev team still employed, with UBIs current condition, I dont know.

I'm sorry Oscar, that truly sucks. I know how even one CTD can ruin an entire night. I had the same issues with Enigma: Rising Tide and have never touched the game since. It's obvious that everyone has made their minds up about SH5 and either enjoy it or can't stand it. Like so many have said, just give it time and either UBI or the Modders will make it into the game everyone expects. Otherwise, hopefully UBI won't pull the franchise and we can hope for a better SH6 with something for everyone. I think it'd be great if they went back to the Pacific campaign and just alternated every game. It'd be awesome to have the technology behind SH5 with a Gato class sub.

Please watch your language, this is supposed to be a place for intelligent discussion.

Just think of all the cops and correctional officers out there that pay taxes to house, feed, and medicate the offenders they work so hard to apprehend and detain! Those poor bad guys would go hungry for God's sake!

I mean, we've got to support the United Socialist States of America (USSA), am I right? I mean, Herr Obama would be disappointed if the big bad policeman stopped an "illegal" immigrant and asked him for some bloody identification! I mean sheesh, we're only supposed to be IDing US citizens after all! Every cop has built-in nationality radar didn't you know?! How dare a cop do such a thing to an "illegal" immigrant on his way to a dope house!

And you think Herr Obama would approve of punishing those that use profanity? Get real! He encourages that too. He said, "I want to know whose a.s.s. to kick" on national television with Matt Lauer for every man, woman, and child in the world to hear! The great one can't be wrong and thinks the only people who need any punishment or restraint are those that enforce rules and regulations!

I'm a cop, so I would know. I used to do my job (the way you used to expect me to) but now that's a bad thing so I don't. Drive through my 65 m.p.h zone at 100+mph and see if I stop you. Not gonna happen. I want to keep my job after all. Times are tough and jobs are scarce! I'm going to just sit there and eat my jelly donuts, drink my coffee, and play a few rounds of Doodle Jump on my Iphone instead. Call me to respond to a domestic scene and I will be 5-0... Meaning I will be about 50 minutes late, so stay strong little lady. I don't want to get there early because I might have a brain fart and resort to my old ways and get slapped with a police brutality suit when I light your abusive "illegal" immigrant boyfriend up like a Christmas tree with 100,00 volts of government issued light saber! Just don't be crazy like 90% of the women out there and stab me in the Kevlar when I'm putting your hot tamale in the back of my patrol car! Otherwise I will light you up as well and yes, you're gonna have a bad hair day!

Anyways, I think it's unethical for y'all to be asking Neal and the mods on here to do any enforcing. Learn to be forgiving and accepting of those who break "the old rules". It's going to take time for the rules to be changed but count on Obama making that a priority once he's done robbing the wealthy and the poor of all their money first. Hes loves to break the rules and what fun would that be if he already had the rules taken away?
Right. Keep the political rants in GT.

You might be right. Maybe I finally should look in the discount bins for SHIV. But then my other side tells me to stay away from it -- too many bugs etc. The title just brings up negative headlines in my mind. They screwed up the start badly, and it is engraved as a warning. And there is no 2nd first start. But I'll keep an eye open -- afterall it would be perfect strategy to buy a discount SHIV and download all the finished mods, while waiting on someone to "treat" SHV to perfection (if that is still possible and going to happen) and the DRM to be gone.
