Not to discourage any other modders from trying, I addressed the post to the RFB team because I happen to play RFB. Now that that's cleared up, I was wondering if it would be possible to employ two "clickable" TBT "icons" to simulate one fore and one aft. Just like there are two clickable positions for fore and aft AA guns. The forward TBT would traverse 180 degrees, from 90-270. The aft TBT would cover 270-90. In other words, if a ship were spotted behind you, you would have to access the aft TBT station. The way it is now, the TBT just rotates 360 to simulate haveing an aft TBT. I think it would be cool to be able to use the appropriate TBT, and have each covering it's appropriate bearings.
I wasn't sure if this was ever accomplished before. If it was, I just made a complete jackass of myself! ![]() ![]() |

It's a good idea, but it's not possible with the way the game is coded.

Ducimus put in a aft TBT in TMO on conning towers that come around in mid 43 or so but its just for looks mostly, you can move up to it but have to click on TBT and bring it to the aft bearings.Wish it could be done because oversights like this by the devs is what really annoys me.

Hmmmm we have two periscopes, they come from two different entry's to the Cameras.dat file. I wonder if one could make a second UZO/TBT entry there as well...

Maybe we could replace some station with a rear TBT? The only thing that would be impossible to replace is the slide out tool/TDC, I'm afraid. They are hardcoded to stay in the scopes/TBT one. Though I think that we could trade a periscope for a TBT ... but that would be losing as much as winning. Or even more, since periscopes did actually have different characteristics, while aft and fwd TBT didn't.

I'd rather have two scopes myself, lose one during battle you have the backup, lose one with no backup, not good.

How about in the camera.dat file to make a doublet station of the TBT say RearTBT and then point all entries (keys or mouseclicks) to that station...

It would be great if it could be worked somehow, but certainly not at the expense of a scope!
