I imagine satellite coverage would not be inexpensive

As opposed to over a thousand 'soldiers' UAV's etc?

What about that X3B thingy

By the way I just read in a news feed that these 1,200 'troops' are basically clerical agents un armed and there to 'gather information'.

Seems the good press illusion is popped already.

Oh! By the way, there's a mechanic on his way to have a look at your broke down car, but he's not allowed to make any repairs. But don't worry, you'll still get a bill?!?!

Your government is calling it's citizens idiots.
Please prove them wrong.

Good point. And yeah, when I learned the 1200 guys being sent down weren't actually going to do anything, well

And then there is this.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100527/...ico_usa_border

It seems our government is doing everything in its power to make sure it does as little as possible. The Joke is over and nobody's laughing anymore. Time to secure our nation at the voting booths!

So you are calling the Minutemen "jokes" right? As all they do is the same thing. Watch and report.

Honestly i don't think it matters anymore, at least in some parts of the country. Special interest groups pull political strings and get their way. Getting tough on illegal immigration in CA for example, is NEVER going to happen for that very reason. If anything, we'll start issuing them driver licenses and..... oh wait.. nevermind, i think we already do that.

Do you have ANY idea how much it costs the CIA to run its birds? Nobody does but the rumor is VERY VERY VERY expensive. Also they are useless for detecting unlawful entry because thermal optics lose resolution fast with distance if you want to see anything at all. You can have something as small and hot as a fighter engine on afterburner or large area like a cloud formation but you cant have both.

While that trash state wont get any UAVs are far better at the role. The people who do it often and guide others across know how to listen for a helo approaching and know how to hide the group but a UAV at altitude is nearly silent to the ground it can track a group and learn of trails and other areas they like to use before directing enforcement to the region. A UAV is far cheaper and its estimated that thousands have been caught due to the limited deployment of them already.

There you go with that phrase again. Did Arizona run over your dog when you were little? Did it steal your girlfriend? Or is that just how you always talk about stuff?

Arizona is no more 'a trash state' than Louisiana, Texas, Kansas, or any other state is (Except for maybe New Jersey). They just happen to have a real b*tch of a time with immigrants, drugs, and drug-related crime.
