Looking at the command files for both SH3 and SH4, I'm not seeing where you'd remap the "hide Hud" button. It seems to be locked to Numpad - Del and not changeable.

So instead you'll probably want to ask Ducimus to move whatever item is infront of where you need to be I think.

There's no area where you could double click to "fill slots" or anything like you could in SH3? Been so long since I've tried SH4. heh

Default Solved!!

WAHOO! I solved it.

Windows Vista directed me to a help site where an administrator had posted a comment. It gave step by step instructions on how to edit the registry to toggle the Ins/NumbersLk key on. Basically, you program the registry to start number lock when the computer starts. To clear the ships dials to man the anti aircraft gun, all I have to do is hit the NumLk and delete keys.

When not playing TMO1.9, I have to turn off NumLk by holding down the Fn key and NumLk key for five seconds. If I don't do this certain keys on my keyboard produce numbers rather than letters, etc. I can live with this solution for now.

Later I will try turning off the NumLk key at start up by entering the appropriate registry value entry. Once I make registry change, NumLk will revert to its normal mode and will not start by default when the computer starts. Then I will try toggling it on when playing the game. For now, NumLk is activated on start up by default, and I will have to remember to toggle it off when not playing TMO.

Did that make any sense?

I deserve a medal! Thanks for all of your suggestions!

Default Necessity is..

Necessity is the mother of invention.

Or, Johnsons corollary to Murphy's Law:
The odds of the buttered side of the toast landing face down on the carpet increase in direct proportion to the cost of the rug.

Or, as Pecos Bill would say, "In plain English, You try and ride Widowmaker (his horse), and he will kill you." [Quote from the movie Tall Tales from the character Pecos Bill, played well by the late Patrick Swazye.]

I got lucky. Real lucky.
