Well this thread took a quick slide into depravity. Glad to be of service.

I didn't forget anything. Remember these are Dowly's preferences.

There are lots of nicknames we could come up with. Here are 160 of 'em:

I joined Facebook because I have many relatives that live interstate or overseas and it's good to catch up with them and keep up to date with what they are doing. In the process I've had some old school and work friends catch up with me and it's transpired that many of them now live close to me, thus making the occasional coffee-in-the-city something to look forward to. As I regularly review my privacy settings and limit everything just to Friends, watch what I write (no "My Boss sux" when they're a friend) and hide all the Farmville crap, I don't have a problem with it. I'm not a high user though, moreso a reader of others.

I do have a facebook account, but have rarely used it since they made the status updates their main feature. Its OK for getting in contact with a friend who lives far away. But I fail to see why people feel the need to post every inane and tedious detail of their life on the site. For example, the other day I signed in, and a (somewhat distant, thankfully!) friend had posted an update (with picture) saying "{Name} is eating Baked beans!!!! WOOP!"

Why do people want to know that? I mean, are people going to start posting about their bladder movements next?

Its the same reason that I'll never understand Twitter, i just don't understand the point in it.... I've tried several times to look at it but just completely fail to understand what its for every time!
