I use the binocs a lot to mark targets, ships and planes. Without the crosshairs switching to red it'll be extremely difficult to accurately call a target, especially with planes.
In real life I could say, "Would you be so kind as to target that plane just there ol' chap? That's a good man!" In game I have to pick the small, moving spot half an inch above the cockpit where the plane will be when I finally click just so. Not that big a deal really, but a concern. |
