As for the local vs. synchronized game saves, I've been trying to disable the synchronization for weeks now. I keep clicking that rotary thing on the ubisoft launcher and clicking "no" to save synch. But every time the main screen loads I still get "Please wait while your saved games are synchronized...". It's maddening.

Anyway, I have no clue what causes this problem, but like I said it's disappointing because I can't even play the game anymore.
