I would - if you don't then many of the mods wont work. I also suspect some of the bigger rants are DRM based or people who didn't roll back their mods before updating.

The members of this forum who I trust are reporting very few difficulties, so I'd go for it personally.

hang on just a second.... the big thing to check is what if any mods you have installed, and if the ones you use are effected by the patch. from what I have read the impact to most of the mods hasn't been too bad, but if you do use and love some of the mods, check to see if it has been updated to work with the new patch yet or not, to help you make your choice to update yet or not. and of course uninstall all mods before patching . but don't add wanted mods back untill you know if they are compatible or not. personally I am going to wait a few days to give time for some of my favorite mods to make the conversions to work with the new patch. but I will patch soon.

Welcome aboard!! Same here too. FPS are still a bit low, 25-35 FPS, but that's because I have full shadows and AA on. And it's WAY better than the 9 FPS I used to get in the control room.

Hmm I have a fast rig and nvidia card but better fps is always nice, I think it would be a good idea to update if the Darkwraith ui works with 1.2 anyone know ? first hand, also the new w_clear environment when released is going to be awesome.

I think it is but I really cant say for sure. If I was you I'd pop over to the mods section and see what is and isn't compatable.

I should apologise as well for not being clearer in my earlier post, when I said

"I would - if you don't then many of the mods wont work."

I was thinking of any future mods.

Frame rates have increase inside the sub. When stationed at the base, I can not even walk around. That is still a mess.

Depth to keel working fine and return to course is working fine. Has anyone had any weird experiences with crew morale on the new patch?

There is some hard word out there about SH5 and the patch but i think we need to remeber thats there is only one serious subsim dev. out there so we need to be abit nicer and help with creative critisim rather than just sinking it...right?

I salute your intentions and wholeheartedly agree

However - did you bother to read this thread before you posted?

rsvette12 was asking whether to update or not - nothing more
