Better with no patch.
![]() The patch for me has made things worse than they were before. No time compression, which as i am trying to go across the Atlantic is a bit annoying. Ships on fire coming out of port. (lots of ships). Mouse left click and right click on bridge not working. Uzo is unusable, double crosshairs, which i could get rid of before with the mouse wheel. I still end up looking at the floor after talking to a crew member. And all this in the first five minutes of playing after the patch, the list would go on the longer i play but i just cant stand it. What a waste of time waiting for the patch. I have to say i am very disappointed with UBI, they had a chance to redeem themselves, just a little bit, and they didn't, could not even get it out on time, and when it did arrive, it was as flawed as the game The sad thing is, i still love this game, but cant play it with all the annoying glitches. I will see you all when this game becomes a sim, soon i hope, for now its back to SH3 and the Grey Wolves. |

Did you disable your mods before installing the patch?

Do we need to restart from port after patching? I disabled all mods, patched, and then started a new mission from port. I am having none of those problems listed above.

Good question. Based on some of the things reported as broken, it may be the result of not rolling back the mods. Sounds like time for a clean reinstall. I've noticed a number of improvements in the stock game from patch to patch. I'm just waiting to learn what mods are compatible before putting them back in.

Yes, +1.
Think there are some improvements with the patch, it is better than before even if everything promised wasn't delivered ultimately. Reckon you've a corruption there stoneys-nutz. Could be worth a re-install if you've the inclination... ![]() |

It was a fresh install, patched, then mods applied, but only eye candy mods. Mods un-installed and no change. Gutted, stuck on the bridge and cant get down the ladder, i also seem to have lost my UPlay downloads too.
Bah humbug, i just feel that UBI lost the chance to put things right, not just in the game, but for all its customers who bought this game, or was i hoping for too much ?. |

You were hoping for too much.
Given past experiences with SHIII & IV, it takes 4 patches to get the game up to an acceptable standards. IIRC, on SHIV, it was patch 1.4 were the finally fixed the convoy bug. You hit one transport and the whole convoy dropped to .05 knots(essentially stopped). Then again that might have been patch 1.3. I just hope Ubi gives SHV four patches. |

I'm sure they'll keep at it.
