Welcome aboard!
I'll hit your questions one by one: -Unfortunately the torpedo and engine rooms aren't modeled so you are doing nothing wrong. Check out Flakmonkeys FM NewInteriors V1.0 in the stickied threads in this forum for a little help there. But don't install that one just yet...Get QWX in there first. -GWX isn't too hardcore, it can be, but in a good way. I'd highly recommend this as your first mod. It adds A LOT and makes the game so much more than stock. It also ties into your last question... -Graphics mods: There are a lot of these and GWX incorporates a lot of graphical improvements right into the mod. Enhanced damage effects is a part of GWX that you can enable that adds a lot. This is the second reason I'd recommend GWX for. Lastly, I just can't say enough about GWX. Ask away with any questions and I'll bop in later and field 'em as best I can! |

i recommend you dabble around for a few patrols, and learn the interface of SHIII, its mnain commands, and learn to sink ships regularly.
then get GWX 3 gold... and discover how much it added. The manual for GWX is fantastic - but nothing is *hardcore* in the sense that you are forced to do something. But it ADDS so much to the original game... phew! Pure enjoyment, very relaxing.
