I might be wrong, but I think he meant another patch after this one.

I haven't played for a month or so but I really don't expect it to be here in 3 days or fix even 50% of the problems but I will try it when it do get here whenever that is.

The patch was originally announced in late March as an April 12th release. That day came and we were told it'll be "about a week more". April 19th and 20th came and still they didn't release it. A few days later we were told again, "maybe another week". April 26th we were told "mid-May". May 5th we were told May 11th.

An entire month after it was first supposed to be released and every ETA along the way was missed. How is that not failing to release an officially announced patch?

It matters little at this point, when the patch is released.
I don't think the reported list is in any way complete.
If We don't get a way to import new Units?
Flush this down the drain.
So I hold hope for new unit imports.
Regardless?
I've went directly to Granny sources and asked some questions.

Original patch announcement post from March 30th *

by GKane, Ubisoft's failed "Community Developer" for Silent Hunter 5. From his "welcome post" on August 21, 2009:

Quote:
Hello everybody and welcome to the Silent Hunter 5 forums!

I am GKane, the Community Developer for Silent Hunter 5, and I will be one of the links you guys will have with the people developing the game. I am sure that with the recent announcement we have made, you guys must have a lot questions.
He posted pretty regularly until the game came out, at which point he disappeared. He posted the day one patch notes, the linked patch note above, edited it to say it would be late and pimped one of stabiz' videos. That's it. He's never said anything else about Silent Hunter since release, hasn't tweeted nor updated their forums or Facebook page. I'm assuming he was fired.

* - that post was edited by GKane on April 12th to say the patch would take another week (the yellow Update edit at the end there). It was than edited on the 21st to reflect it's current title with no ETA and finally closed on May 6th when the latest patch thread was opened by the forum manager, not GKane.

Given the descrition of the events and the persons actions I would hardly qualify anything about that or him (her) as "official".
