I totally agree with you but i was just answering gazpode as he said:

In my varying exchanges i've seen people reporting that they are sinking in excess of over 35,000 grt of enemy shipping.

I dunno how they did this because even when I play the practice missions i'm still finding it tricky to sink even a tramp steamer with one torp!!

But FWIW, it gets better -- in my last mission, I bagged over 40K.
