Not trying to hijack Luke's thread but I found another old subsim game manual that also has an excellent description of submarine tactics, operating characteristics, and "how to" tutorials. From how to maintain a manual plot to calculating the turning radius of a fleet submarine (0.45 degrees per second at full rudder at 4.0 knots) it's all in here. Pages 1-21 are the "game" manual while pages 22-145 are all simulation info. Really good stuff.
